Planning A Road Trip?
Road trips can be a lot of fun for everyone involved, with some good planning it can go really smooth and cut down on traveling expenses. So what are some things you should plan for when attempting a road trip?
Top 3 Reasons Cars Break Down
One of the #1 reasons people break down on road trips is because of battery issues. Without a charged battery it is fairly hard to start a car believe it or not. So how can this issue be avoided? Precautions can be taken before your road trip.
Your car rolls on four tyres that help get you from point A to B as smoothly as possible. When a tire goes you're effectively stranded wherever the car is. Checking your car's tyres is easy and quick but can help make sure no problem arise while on the road.
You notice that your car keys are not in your pocket.. great what to do?! You check everywhere and no keys. Walking to your car you realize that the keys are inside right in the seat. This happens all the time! We humans are forgetful creatures who aren't perfect. Here are some tips for not losing your keys.
Plan For The Worst
Planning for the worst case situation always helps us get through unexpected things when they arise. I remember when I took a road trip out to Montreal, Canada. I was traveling from Albany NY to visit some friends in the area. At the time I had a 2002 Honda Civic which was in good shape no issues. When I was in the area of West Island right around Dorval I had a back tire blow out. Panic sets in as I have no clue how it happened. After some inspection I realize a piece of metal rip my tire open. This was a problem because my spare tire was bad and would not work as a replacement. I spent some time researching for a roadside/towing website on google and found this great tow truck company they answered my call quickly and came fast helping me get back on the road. Lost about 2 hours of travel time. I makes sure I'm well prepared for every road trip now. Preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Thanks for reading and have a safe, uneventful road trip!
